I feel like the best gift I ever got for my mom was a picture I painted in fourth grade art class. It was a scene of the beach & its the only present I’ve ever given her that she still has so I know its a winner :)

I gave her a heart-shaped pan with freshly baked caramel blondies in it one time, and ever since then we’ve been eating heart-shaped casseroles, heart-shaped quiches, and heart-shaped salads because she’ll use it as a serving bowl, too. Oh, mother :)

The best gift I give my mom is on a daily basis. She works so much so I help her with the house chores and please not I have my own family but have the privilage of being a stay at home mom. She doesn’t ask this of my but I gladly do it. That gives her time to rest and time for herself. My mom is very special to me and always who so I enjoy helping her as much as I can. Thanks

  • Tracy @ Ascending Butterfly said:

My mom like me loves to travel, and the gift of travel have been her favorites so far! I took her to Vegas one year for Mother’s Day and another year I took her to Cancun!

Another gift that touched her was tickets to the Broadway Show ‘The King and I’ a few years back, it touched her because when I was very young she took me to see it starring Yul Brynner and I really loved it, so when they brought it back to broadway, I wraped up the playbill from the first play we saw, and then put the tickets inside of it, when those tickets fell out when she opened the playbill, she cried, she was so surprised, it was one of her favorite all time Mother’s Day gifts aside from the trips of course!

In fact we were in the L’Occitane store last week and had tried on the Peony scent and we both liked it, so she would totally flip if I gave this to her!

One of the best gifts I ever gave my mother for Mother’s Day was a full spa day. She is someone who never allows herself to relax and just slow down. So I booked a whole day for her that included a lovely lunch in the middle of the spa day. She had a full body aromatherapy deep tissue massage, facial massage as well as a facial, hand and foot massage, followed by a manicure and pedicure. I even drove her to and from the spa so she didn’t have to worry about anything for an entire day. She absolutely loved it and she was glowing, both inside and out, when it was all over.

My Mom moved out of state several years ago to warmer climate. I hadn’t seen her in a while and surprised her on Mother’s Day by booking a flight to visit her. She was so shocked and happy. They were the best tears of joy I’d ever see anyone cry.

The best gift I gave my Mama…. The year before she passed away (she had terminal cancer), my sister and I bought her (and us two) tickets to see her favorite musical performer…. Willie Nelson. We went to the concert… just Mama and her two girls, and we/she had the most memorable, fun, fabulous time EVER!!! Thanks for inspiring the wonderful memory!

  • Joanna Smith said:

The best gift I ever bought for my Mom was a Cuisinart Combination Blender/Chopper! I know that must sound crazy, but my Mom loves to cook and she enjoys eating foods that call for a lot of small size veggies, and I was forever watching my mom tireless stand and chop vegetables by hand for hours on end. She has a big food processor, but she says it was too involved to use, so I decided to get her this convenient and easy to use Cuisinart chopper to {fingers crossed} make her cooking life a little easier and more efficient for her. Well, this gift was a total success! She keeps it on the counter all the time and literally she uses it a couple times a day! It is a workhorse for her and all the recipes she enjoys creating! It is the gift that keeps on giving, no more standing and chopping for hours each week! Thank you for letting me share my story! HAPPY MOTHER’S TO ALL THE MOTHERS!!

The best give I gave my mom on mother’s day, believe it or not, is one of those cheesy mugs that have some dumb Mom expression on them. We have always had quite a volatile relationship so for me to put I love you on a mug was a big step. She uses that silly mug all the time, has had it for over 20 years!

Me like you long time (on facebook).

The best gift I’ve ever given my mother was probably last year… I finally tracked down her favorite perfume; one she had been trying to find for years, bought her a bottle of Lancôme Génefique (which she loves, and uses every day!), and sent her and my father out to a swanky local restaurant.

She claims it was the best meal she’d ever eaten, and the best Mother’s Day she’d ever had… Here’s to trumping that this year!

    Happy (early) Mother’s Day, all!

The best gifts I have received as a mother would have to be the simple gifts, the hand-made items. When my kids were little, they would give me a hand-made card or other “artwork” like a pen that is made into a tissue paper flower. These were so precious. They are adults now, and of course I appreciate the gifts I receive from them now although they are not hand-made. My kids really are my true gifts :)

One of the most memorable things I got my mom for Mother’s Day was a Holly Hobbie Mother’s Day collectible plate – I was super-young (maybe 6 years old?). The best gift I’ve ever given my mother was breakfast, a card, and flowers. I was in the 3rd grade, so I couldn’t afford to give her anything expensive. I wanted to give her something though. Something that she would never forget. My mom still has the card that I made her. Over the past years, I’ve brought my mom gifts, but the gifts she loved the most were the ones that came from my heart. Happy Mother’s Day, everyone. :-)

The best gift I ever gave my mom for mother’s day was being there to celebrate how much she means to me. Since I’ve been in college, it has become increasingly harder to go home and just be on my mom on mother’s day. I think that the best gift a mother could possibly get is more time with her children. I love my mom so much and consider her one of my best friends. I wish I could be home with her for mother’s day but, for the 3rd year in a row since I’ve been in college, it may not be possible for me to go home and spend that time(NOT $) with her that I would love to spend. I’d love to get her a gift(not that it’s a replacement for not being there, but she deserves it) but it’s also become harder to buy gifts for people due to financial strain(broke college student). I wish I could buy her a collection as wonderful as this but it just can’t happen on this college student’s budget!

The best gift I gave my Mom were these cheep little rhinestone heart broaches when I was about 10. The best gift was one that was inspired during a time where she was in the hospital a few times that year. I was taking an art class at the time, so I hand crafted her a card. I drew and painted her favorite flower in her favorite color on the front, and on the inside, I wrote a poem for her about how great of a mom she is to me and my brothers. I simply added a bouquet of mixed spring flowers and coupled that with the card I made her.

As a Mom I started off with my first daughter being born on Mothersday so that was a truly great gift if only I did not go through the 56 hours of labour it would have been a blessing. However since then I have had a son, another daughter, then my twins. So all five of my children are great in every way. I love the cards they make for me and the things they do. The worst Mothersday I had would be the day when my husband decided they were going to go buy me clothing for a gift. It wasn’t the though that was bad or the out fit they got, but it was the sizes. I was greatful and accepted them, I put them in my room and was going to return them later to get the right size, however they wanted to see the clothing on me. I could not get them to stop the desire to see me in what they picked out. I was 150lbs and 5’4″ wearing a size 8 pants they had gotten size 2x pants and the top was an xsmall I was still nursing and wearing a 34DD bra. It was a desaster, They all were upset and I felt realy bad and told them atleast they tried. After that he never got me anything but candy, not chocolate but charm pops and ring candy because I could give it to him and the kids. After which 11 years Mothers day is just another day, seeing an opertunity to reccive a new product that I will use and refer friends to buy because they like the smell and family to use because they see and smell it has far more rewards! I dont get the time to pamper myself and this would be awsome!!
