Dior proves that NUDE skin is in! Featuring four silky neutrals: each Nude Vernis offers a compliment to the Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blushes , much like the original Dior Vernis that was created to match the already iconic Dior lipsticks.

ENTER: BeautyStat’s First Nail Competition, with Celeb Manicurist Judge TracyLee

We think this year is most definitely the year of the lash and the year of the nail. There have been so many terrific nail lacquers and innovations, from Dior’s “Gris Montaigne” to the Sally Hansen nail strips that it’s hard to keep up with the trends.
Take Chanel for example. Did they simply have to tease us with that glittery Peridot nail lacquer for Fall 2011? It’s enigmatic, strong, powerful. We can’t wait to try our bottle once it arrives.

BeautyStat’s first nail competition is open across several categories:

GET THE LOOK: Best & Worst of Beauty at the 2011 SAG Awards

And I have set up camp in front of my television for the second award show of “Award Season,” the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG).  The SAG Awards are a time for celebs to let their hair down, literally considering the women exhibited both sleek straight hair and tousled curls.  To say it is casual would be an understatement but the starlets were having fun with their looks.

68th Golden Globes: Best & Worst of Beauty

So the time has arrived, the 68th Golden Globes.  Watching the pre-show on E! my eyes were glued to the screen, dissecting every beauty that walked the red carpet.  There were celebs that literally took my breath away and others that made me question their sanity.

Natalie Portman sported her newest accessory her baby bump in Victor and Rolf. Maybe I am being biased because I absolutely love her but she looked amazing.  Her lips looked as if she bit into a cherry that stained her lips, keeping them …

As 2010 comes to a close, it is proving to be “The Year” for Natalie Portman. Our Luncheon with Dior & Lucky Magazine (plus a Dior Giveaway)

Upon entering the Conde Nast building, I felt I had entered a real life version of “The Devil Wears Prada.”  Every woman that passed by me was beautifully polished and exquisitely dressed.  It was a great break from my day job to be going to the exclusive Dior/Lucky Luncheon to explore the new Dior.com (new e-commerce site), play with existing and upcoming products and get a consultation with a Dior make-up artist.  As I entered the huge glass doors, I felt as though I was entering a customized heaven.

Behind the Scenes: Q&A with Black Swan Makeup Department

Performance Anxiety. Emotional tight rope walking.
The movie of the moment is David Aronofsky’s Black Swan, where Natalie Portman’s wears her heart on her sleeve to tear-jerking perfection in the ballet dancer’s version of Shine.
But we’re here to talk about the makeup. MAC Cosmetics’ gave us an inspired “behind the scenes” Q&A with their makeup department head, Margie Durand and makeup designer Judy Chin.

Q: How does a makeup artist prepare to work on a film? Do you receive guidance from the director or collaborate with the costume designer/art director/key …
