Review, Swatches: myface Cosmetics – Blingtone Eyeshadows, Eyeliner, Foundation, Nail Polish

I first got introduced to this company started by Gail Federici and John Frieda — who revolutionized the haircare market with Frizz-Ease and Sheer Blonde via the first sample box I received from Beauty Army. I then fell for the myface cosmetic’s Blingtone Eyeshadows ($20.00) and before I knew it, owned them all! Any makeup artist or friend learning about makeup I ran into would ask, “Love what you are wearing, Urban Decay?” or “Are those glitters on your eyes wet or dry?” and I would always answer “myface” to …

Review, Before/After Photos: John Frieda Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution

The mere mention of John Frieda’s name brings a smile to my face. I grew up with John Frieda products and have respected him as the god of getting rid of frizz for most of my adult life. I remember my first bottle of Frizz-Ease back in high school; it worked wonders then, so I was psyched to see what the product could do for my hair now.
Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution (around $9.99) promises to fight frizz from the outside while hydrating hair from the inside. It does have a warning …

Review: Garnier HerbaShine Hair Color With Bamboo Extract – Covers Gray, Adds Shine

The ultimate goal of any hair color is to provide lasting, natural looking color while leaving hair shiny and healthy.  It’s important you first know what you want your color to be and how long you want it to last.  And you really should understand the condition of your hair currently.  Is it  virgin or semi colored or permanent colored or whether it’s permed.  From there, you can decide on the best route to take.

If you’re looking to cover gray, you might want to try Garnier HerbaShine Color Creme with Bamboo …

(Review & Before/After Photos): L’Oreal Eversleek Intense Smoothing and Reparative Haircare Line

L’Oreal surfaced a few years ago with the first drugstore sulfate-free set of shampoos and conditioner to cater not only to people of the dyed-hair persuasion, but has recently expanded the line to include volumizing and fortifying options.

Now we can add frizz control to the list of sulfate-free products with the advent of their new EverSleek line that comes in two versions: the Reparative and the Intense Smoothing lines.  Besides lacking sulfates, silicone also pulls a no-show, to keep from weighing hair down with frizz molecules.  I’d almost rather my …
