How To Get Kim Kardashian’s Eye Makeup Look If You Have Sensitive Eyes – Best To Avoid Eyelash Glue, Shimmery Eyeshadow, Lining Inner Eye Rim

I am fair-skinned, blue-eyed and a blonde, which is about as far from emulating the Kim Kardashian look as you can get. Although my look suits me just fine, there are times when I am trying to keep up — not with the Kardashian clan — with Kim’s makeup looks.
How does Kim wear so much eye makeup and not seem to be in pain? Not a grimace, nothing watering, no redness… It appears that she does have talent after all!
It is no secret that I have the world’s most sensitive …

Review, Swatches: myface Cosmetics – Blingtone Eyeshadows, Eyeliner, Foundation, Nail Polish

I first got introduced to this company started by Gail Federici and John Frieda — who revolutionized the haircare market with Frizz-Ease and Sheer Blonde via the first sample box I received from Beauty Army. I then fell for the myface cosmetic’s Blingtone Eyeshadows ($20.00) and before I knew it, owned them all! Any makeup artist or friend learning about makeup I ran into would ask, “Love what you are wearing, Urban Decay?” or “Are those glitters on your eyes wet or dry?” and I would always answer “myface” to …

Get The Makeup Look Of Suzy Bishop Of Moonrise Kingdom Movie

Wes Anderson‘s most recent film, Moonrise Kingdom, has gotten major press since debuting as the opening film at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Most of us remember his most famous film The Royal Tenenbaums back in 2001, with Gwyneth Paltrow playing a kooky character — dressed in a fur coat and mod 60′s black eyeliner. Wes has continued onto the same path with bold makeup statements that are consistently portrayed throughout his new film. Quite creative and catchy, he has also created a very youthful and vibrant, but very subtle, …

Country Music Awards 2010: the Hair Files

Tress trends last night at the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee were music to my ears. And don’t even get me started on the gowns…
As if to step aside and make way for the tunes, simplicity seemed to reign in the leading ladies’ glossy manes. Volume was present, to be sure. (Would it be Fall 2010 without it?) And straight-forward ‘dos and parts were the perfect complement to each ensemble.

Take Gwyneth Paltrow, for instance, who looked absolutely (and appropriately) stunning for her country debut. …

Fall’s Easiest Haircare Trend: Ponytail Mania, Hairstyle

From accessible chic to ultra sophisticated, fashionistas nationwide are pony-ing up this fall with every girl’s best friend: the ponytail.
There’s nothing not to love about this mane preference. It’s fast; it stays in place; and it works on day one, two or even three (eek) after a wash. This season in particular, celeb sightings are full of the easy, breezy up ‘do. Sure, low ponies have their appeal, but Fall 2010 is all about towering heights. Check out these pics:
From Gossip Girl glam (Blake Lively)…

By Alene Dawson, Special to the Los Angeles Times
June 13, 2010

The words “Oh, behave!” — uttered in imitation of Mike Myers’ Austin Powers’ voice — come to mind when you’re standing in front of the mirror trying to tame out-of-control hair on the hottest days of summer, whether at home or vacationing in exotic humid climes. And though a hairstyle that vacillates …

How To Find/Get the Right Haircut & Style for your Face Type And Shape

To cut or not to cut? Do you want Katy Perry-esque bangs or are you more of a Gwyneth Paltrow, sleek straight hair type of gal? Guessing is not going to do you any good because you’ll probably end up with a cut that will make you look like Christian Siriano (which works for him, dolls but maybe not for you).
Remember the incredible Rodney Cutler? The hairstylist who started his eponymous Cutler Salon (now in New York City and Miami) and is a regular darling at Fashion Week? Cutler is …

Ah, the power of lace. We’ve seen this delicate mesh of fabric dress the sexy bodies and throats of so many celebrities. Don’t believe me? Look who’s been spotted in lacy dresses recently:

Lace is creating alluring fashions on the red carpet, and will also be one of the trends to watch in Spring 2010 fashions. So MAC Cosmetics’ new Love Lace collection is both timely, powerful, and dark (I prefer black to white lace — et tu, Brute?).

The make up in this collection includes:
LIPSTICK ($14)
Pretty Please Pale pink pearl (Lustre)

There are smells — as I’m sure Pig Pen from the Peanuts Comic Strip would agree — that you are unlikely to forget.
Most smells make you want to block your nose completely and wish you had a cold. No amount of spritzing yourself with good ol’ fashioned Charlie or even a Glade house scent will keep your immediate air smelling pretty, because when Pig Pen hits you, he hits you hard. You feel as though your nostrils have been assaulted by some sort of olfactory hippopotamus. You feel violated, vulnerable …
